DICKY BEACH SURF LIFE SAVING CLUB

All proceeds from the Arthur Street Country Markets help to protect our beaches and ensure our volunteer lifesavers have the necessary training and equipment required to keep the community safe. Visit www.dickybeachsurfclub.com.au for more information.

SURF LIFE SAVING

Surf Life Saving is Australia’s major water safety and rescue authority and is one of the largest groups of volunteer organisations in the country.

All surf lifesavers receive extensive training and must maintain their first aid accreditation and fitness levels in order to patrol Queensland beaches. The skills members gain through completing their Bronze Medallion and Advanced Resuscitation Certificate.

While specifically tailored to a beach environment, these skills are transferable to everyday life ultimately making our overall community a safer place.

OUR CLUB

Dicky Beach Surf Life Saving Club is a non-profit, Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) endorsed charitable organisation dedicated to providing surf life saving services to ensure the 70,000+ people that visit our beach during our patrol season remain safe.

Our Club motto is “Developing Lives to Save Lives” and we recognise our young members are the future leaders of both our Club and the local community. We are committed to strengthening and expanding existing programs to ensure our youth become valuable members of the club, capable patrolling lifesavers, and skillful competitors as well as respected members of broader society.
